WELCOME TO JUPITER STUDIOS

We at Jupiter Studios appreciate your business, which is why we have created a relaxed and fun atmosphere for you to enjoy. We want your recording experience to be productive and memorable. We have provided a comfortable kitchen/producer's lounge area to relax, eat, and clear you head. There are so many chill-out areas here at Jupiter (front hall for Studio B customers and back area for Studio A customers) that we do ask that you refrain from bringing any food or beverages into the actual recording rooms.

In order to keep a productive environment, we have listed some key points that should make the recording process go smoothly. By booking studio time and/or signing this sheet, you agree to adhere to all terms and conditions set by Jupiter Studios.

BOOKING TIME AND SESSIONS

Keep in mind our studio time fills up very quickly, please do not be upset if it takes a few days before we can get you in a studio, we will do everything we can to assist you but we can't work miracles.

When we offer a time quote, it is an estimate of the studio time we believe would be adequate to work on your project. But it is ONLY a guess. Your project may run shorter or longer. If you use less time than what you booked, you will not be charged for it. If you use more time that what was quoted or booked, you will be charged the regular studio rate.

Be on time---you will be charged from the time you booked your session. Make sure you get here at that time in order not to lose any studio time that you will be paying for.

Deposits are required-For 2 hour sessions, the full amount is due, for session 3 or more hours, a 50% deposit is required. The money goes towards your studio time.

Please be sure to provide us with accurate and reliable information i.e. phone numbers and addresses-and be sure to give several numbers as you could lose studio time if we are unable to get a hold of you.

Visitors-Please keep visitors to a minimum. Even though we have a big place, visitors often cause distractions and waste your valuable studio time and money.

Please be sure to you and your visitors clean up after yourselves.

Weapons, violence, and illegal substances are prohibited on-site. There is no smoking in the building. We have provided a smokers bench and ashtray near our front entrance.

The person purchasing studio time is taking legal and financial sole responsibility for any loss due to theft or damage as well as any monies owed for studio time purchased.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

To optimize your time, make sure you and your group are well prepared and rehearsed (new strings on guitar, new drum heads, especially for the snare, vocals are warmed up, lyrics are memorized and/or written legibly, etc)

Data CDs need to be free from scratches and other damages.

Radio edits, show mixes and other mix alterations take time to do- make sure you leave time at the end of your session to get this done.

If a computer crashes, which is unlikely, please keep in mind that it is an "act of god" and not the engineer. We will work as hard as possible to get the session up and running again.

We will help you through the recording process as much as we can, although you are responsible for approving all mixes, edits, CD orders, etc. Remember- you are the producer of your project, and should approve every step before it leaves the studio.

DATA

Data CDs are to be made at the end of each session. This takes about 15 minutes so the recording portion of the session should stop 15 minutes before to back your session. This is studio time paid by you, the client.

At the end of every session, you will receive your data CD and an audio CD (included in the regular studio cost). After that every CD is $5 plus the studio time it takes to make it. So please make sure you allot time for this process also.

Your data CD is your session-So take care of it. If you ever need to work on it again, please be sure to bring it with you to your next scheduled session. We are not responsible for it.

If for some reason you did not receive a data CD at the end of the session, please be sure to make an appointment with Jodie before you leave to schedule time to do so. We erase data the 14th and the 28th of every month, so without that data you could lose your session forever.
