IPK's (Electronic Press Kit)
This is a must for artists trying to get a deal in the industry. This has become a necessity to get signed. Contents of an IPK depend on the industry and target audience. For instance, an IPK in the music industry might contain:
- biographical & contact information
- monochromatic, high resolution, press photos (for easy reproduction)
- music clips (with accompanying lyrics)
- tour dates
- press reviews and interviews, etc.
- promotional videos
Online Media Kit
Contents of an online media kit for a business, being served from their company website, might include:
- A backgrounder on the company's history
- A fact sheet covering major points / products / services
- Biographical information on key executives
- Media contact information (usually a contact in public relations or an executive)
- A recent press release
- Past media coverage (press clippings, product reviews, etc.)
